Congratulations to Raagini Rameshwar for winning the 2022 Amazon Robotics Graduate Fellowship.
Congratulations Aihaitijiang Abudula, (Simon) Hao Yang, Shou-Shan Chiang, Zhenyu Wan, Selim Özel, Robin Hall, Erik Skorina, and Ming Luo for a comprehensive review of the soft robotic locomotion literature.
We received a new NSF grant for our research studying wearable haptic soft robots and robotic teleoperation interfaces in collaboration with Profs. Jane Li (PI), Yunus Telliel, Jeanine Skorinko, Jie Fu, and Paula Bylaska-Davies.
The COVID-19 pandemic is responsible for hundreds of thousands of deaths worldwide and remains a challenge that humanity must still overcome. As hospitals continue to admit critical patients, they may face medical equipment shortages that may hinder life-saving treatments, especially in developing regions. We seek to combat this potential equipment shortage by presenting a proof-of-concept portable automated ventilator that is: affordable, simple, lightweight, and easy to fabricate.
Supported by a new NSF Research Traineeship grant, we started a new graduate student training program called Future of Robots in the Workplace - Research & Development (FORW-RD) NRT Program, where we focus on robotic interfaces, assistants, and collaborators.
